Preparation for Baptism
Please speak with Fr. Al if you are interested in being baptized or having your child baptized.
Preparation for Confirmation
Confirmation is an adult or young adult's public reaffirmation of their baptismal vows. Classes and discussion to prepare one for this important step are provided. Please speak with Fr. Al or Diane Bjorklund for more information.
Safeguarding God's Children
Everyone working with children and young people in our congregation is required to take this training. Safe Guarding God's Children is a training program in sexual abuse awareness. Effie is our parish mentor for this program - please see Diane about signing up for this training with Effie or on line.
News and Announcements
Safeguarding God’s Children Education: Effie Lingren, our own SGGC trainer, has set aside Sunday, February 19th from 1:30 to 4:30 to hold this training for the members of St. John’s and regional churches. Safeguarding God’s Children is an “awareness and training” opportunity that is required by the Episcopal Diocese of Iowa for all who regularly work or volunteer with or have program oversight of children or youth.
