What is Christian Formation?
Christian Formation (CF) is a term used to describe the life long journey we all undertake to be Christians in the Episcopal Church. Unlike the term "Education" - there is no certificate marking an end-point to this process. We are not born Episcopalian, nor Christian, and it is up to all of us to take responsibility for what we believe, whether we want to be an active part of this faith-community, and if so, in what way can we serve - always growing in our faith.
Diane Bjorklund is St. John's Director of Christian Formation. Coordinates Christian Formation Programs for all ages which include: Nursery, Godly Play, Journey to Adulthood and the Epicscopal Youth Community (EYC) and Tools for a Christian Journey for adults. Links to the curriculum and schedules for these programs can be found at the bottom of this page.
If you have any questions or concerns about this essential part of our parish, or if you would like to help with the Christian Formation program, please speak with Diane Bjorklund, St. John's Christian Formation Co-ordinator, about ways you may contribute to this ministry.
