High School Seniors Recognition

St. John's gives a warm send off to all our graduating seniors in late spring by recognizing them during the worship service.

Iowa Cubs Game

The congregation attends an Iowa Cubs Game every summer - starting with a picnic outside the ball-park in Des Moines.  Watch for this upcoming event.  It's a "ball"!

Ministry Fair

Do you have a ministry at St. John's such as gathering people for fellowship, coordinating and training acoloytes, being a musician, visiting parish shut-ins, or serving in our community? Are you planning a parish event such as Faith Alive or are you involved in a ministry such as Daughters of the King, Wednesday Bible Study, Children's Education or Education for Ministry? St. John's annual Ministry Fair and Christian Education and Youth registration day is held every year at the end of August. Watch for it!

Stewardship Night

Each fall, a talented group of St. John's actors get together to prepare skits with a humorous twist as an offering to remind parishioners that financial stewardship is an integral part of our community life.  The skits are delightful.  In 2010 these skits will be performed during the 8AM and 10AM services followed by a dessert reception.
