Choir

The St. John's Choir consists of parish members and very talented individuals from the Iowa State University Student Community.  The Choir is in full bloom during the period that ISU is in session and takes a break during the summer months.  This talented group helps lead the congregation in the singing of the hymns and typically provides one anthem during the service, normally for the Offertory.  Come and hear a variety of musical styles from African Spirituals to 16th Century Latin chorale.  The highlight of the year is the Ceremony of Lessons and Carols conducted on a Sunday evening in December.

Millennium Development Goals

The MDGs represent a global partnership that has grown from the commitments and targets established at the world summits of the 1990s. Responding to the world's main development challenges and to the calls of civil society, the MDGs promote poverty reduction, education, maternal health, gender equality, and aim at combating child mortality, AIDS and other diseases.
