Christmas Eve Service @ 5 PM

Please join us for our 5 PM Christmas Eve Service! We were unable to hold Christmas Eve services in person last year and are excited to welcome everyone back this Christmas!
There is a limited capacity of 60 people per service, so we ask that you please reserve a seat for the service you will be attending. We're using SignUp.com to organize this.

Here's how it works in 3 easy steps:

1. Follow this link to go to our invitation page: https://signup.com/go/DWzeWuN
2. Enter your email address: (You will NOT need to register an account.)
3. Sign up! Choose your spots – SignUp.com will send you an automated confirmation and reminders. Easy!

Note: SignUp.com does not share your email address with anyone. If you prefer not to use your email address or have any trouble signing up, please contact the church office and we can sign you up manually.

This service will also be live-streamed on our YouTube channel. Please check back later for the direct link to the YouTube live-stream.

Story County is in Phase One of the Abounding in Hope Plan for Regathering from the Diocese of Iowa. According to Bishop Scarfe, in-person services are allowed to continue in all phases with limited capacity: 25% for phases one and two; and 50% for when we return to phase three. We encourage all members to get vaccinated if they are able.

This means restrictions have tightened back up in regards to in-person services. We will continue to practice caution and social distancing. All in-person attendees must follow these safeguards:

  • All attendees must sign in at the check-in desk when they arrive. This is so we have a detailed list of all attendees to ensure we follow contact tracing requirements.

  • All present (over the age of two) are required to wear masks at all times while in the building. Masks are available near the entrances of the church.

  • Singing with indoor voices is allowed at all phases, but is not recommended in Phase One.

  • All attendees should maintain six feet of distance between each other, except for members of the same family or household. Households may sit together as long as at least 6 feet of space is maintained between individuals & households.

  • Anyone who is feeling unwell, or anyone who is a member of a household where someone in the household feels unwell, should stay home.

  • Hand sanitizing stations are to be provided at entrances.

  • Seats and regularly touched surfaces should be disinfected after each service.

  • Bathroom traffic shall be limited and sanitizing wipes/spray will be provided in the bathroom. We recommend individuals and households use the bathroom before arrival.

  • At communion: we recommend that all communicants receive while standing and remain 6’ apart from each other in line or at the altar rail. Bread shall be the only element offered to the people and can be “dropped” into the hands of a masked communicant, who should wait until they have moved to take their mask down temporarily to consume, sanitizing their hands after they have touched their face on the way back to their spot.
